About the Role:
Do you have a passion for IT and customer service? We are looking for a Service Desk Operator to join our growing IT support team. As the first point of contact for technical issues, you will provide first-line support, troubleshooting IT problems, and ensuring that user requests are handled quickly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for IT-related queries and issues.
- Log, track, and resolve incidents or escalate them to the appropriate team.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot basic software, hardware, and network issues.
- Provide guidance to users on IT best practices and available self-service options.
- Work closely with managed service providers to resolve technical problems.
- Ensure timely updates and communication to users about their service requests.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents and resolutions within the IT service management system.
- Contribute to the knowledge management database to improve first-time fix rates.
- Experience in a customer-focused IT support role.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows operating systems and Office applications.
- Knowledge of networking, telephony, and end-user hardware support.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
