Software Delivery Manager – MoD Government Agency

Remote (1 day a month on-site – Somerset)

6 months + | £550–£625pd (Inside IR35)

An MoD government agency is seeking an experienced Software Delivery Manager to lead one or more Agile software delivery teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own delivery of digital products/services – managing risks, people, budgets and timelines
• Maintain delivery momentum, ensuring iterative, user-focused releases
• Lead and coach multi-disciplinary teams in Agile and lean ways of working
• Coordinate 3rd-party integration and dependencies end-to-end
• Act as a point of expertise for Agile delivery within the team and wider function

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Software Delivery Manager / Agile Delivery Lead in software or digital teams
• Strong background in Agile delivery (Scrum / Kanban / lean) in complex environments
• Comfortable balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity
• Experience leading and motivating multi-disciplinary teams
• Previous government / defence / regulated sector experience and eligibility for UK security clearance are highly desirable
