Location: Croydon (1 day per week onsite)

Duration: 6 Months

Day rate: £520 - £570 Inside IR35

Clearance: SC clearance required

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Front-End Application Developer to join a fast-paced engineering team working on modern, user-focused web applications. This role is hands-on and delivery-driven, with a strong emphasis on clean, scalable front-end development using React and TypeScript/JavaScript.

You'll collaborate closely with backend developers, designers, and product stakeholders to build responsive, high-quality user interfaces and improve overall user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain front-end applications using React
  • Develop clean, maintainable code using TypeScript and JavaScript (browser-based)
  • Work closely with UX/UI designers to translate designs into high-quality user interfaces
  • Integrate front-end components with APIs and backend services
  • Ensure performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
  • Contribute to code reviews and front-end best practices
  • Support testing and quality assurance activities

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with React
  • Solid proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript in the browser
  • Experience building modern, responsive web applications
  • Good understanding of HTML, CSS, and front-end architecture
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and frontend integration patterns

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Playwright for front-end or end-to-end testing
  • Knowledge of automated testing strategies for UI applications
  • Experience working in Agile or DevOps-driven teams
