Operational Analytics Consultant
If you’re motivated by solving real operational problems with data, and want your analysis to lead directly to meaningful change, this role puts you right at the centre of that action.
This is an opportunity to join a large, fast-growing Enterprise Data & Analytics practice focused on using data, analytics and intelligent automation to transform how complex organisations run their operations.
As an Operational Analytics Consultant, you’ll work at the intersection of process, data and technology, helping clients understand how their operations really perform and where data-led interventions can unlock measurable improvements. You’ll combine structured problem-solving with advanced analytics to drive smarter, faster and more resilient ways of working.
You’ll be involved in projects that span:
- Process analytics & mining – uncovering inefficiencies, bottlenecks and variation in real operational data
- Operational performance improvement – using data to redesign workflows, optimise resources and improve outcomes
- Automation & AI enablement – identifying and shaping opportunities for intelligent automation, machine learning and emerging AI tools
- Asset & operational reliability analytics – improving performance, maintenance and investment decisions through predictive insight
- Commercial and value chain analytics – enhancing cost-to-serve, demand forecasting, pricing and supply chain decision-making
You’ll work closely with clients, technologists and strategists to turn analysis into practical, implementable change. Not just dashboards, but real operational impact.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Structuring complex operational problems and breaking them into data-driven workstreams
- Working with large, messy operational datasets to generate insight and evidence
- Applying techniques such as process mining, modelling, simulation and optimisation
- Translating analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for operational and business stakeholders
- Supporting or leading workstreams, managing tasks and contributing to high-quality delivery
- Presenting findings in a compelling way, blending logic, visuals and storytelling
- Contributing to the development of new propositions, tools and methodologies in operational analytics
- Staying at the forefront of emerging capabilities, particularly in AI, automation and advanced analytics
You’re likely to bring a mix of analytical depth, operational curiosity and consulting-style problem solving, in addition to technical / domain experience in some of the following:
Process & Operational Analytics
- Process mining tools (e.g. Celonis, Signavio or similar)
- SQL and working with large operational datasets
