Infrastructure Engineer £85,000 - £100,000 Hybrid (in x4) Financial

We are working with a Private Investment Firm who are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join their close-knit IT Team. This is a hands-on technical role that will see you managing critical network infrastructure, cloud connectivity, and firewall systems for a demanding business landscape.

You'll play a key part in ensuring high availability, performance, and security across both on-prem and cloud systems while driving improvements and automation through scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and monitor hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure, ensuring uptime and resilience.
• Perform routine system and network checks, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Support and maintain firewalls, switches, and Internet connectivity (Palo Alto / Juniper).
• Carry out patching, firmware upgrades, and infrastructure updates.
• Support Windows Server environments, Azure workloads, and Microsoft 365 services.
• Use PowerShell and Terraform to automate tasks and deployments.
• Provide escalated and VIP end-user support when required.
• Collaborate across teams to improve network and infrastructure performance.
• Produce accurate documentation for systems, processes, and configurations.
• Participate in occasional out-of-hours maintenance and project work.

Core Skills & Experience:

• Proven background in network and infrastructure engineering across hybrid environments.
• Strong knowledge of Azure cloud technologies and Windows Server platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Juniper or Cisco switches and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Solid understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, NTP, and related services.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and familiarity with Terraform for IaC.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure AD/Entra ID including Conditional Access.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
