SDR Manager

Role: Sales Development Team Manager

Location: Remote

Salary: Up to circa £60,000 per annum circa 50% OTE uncapped

My client is a rapidly growing technology/SaaS organisation offering a unique portfolio of services to the construction sector across the UK and internationally.

There is a clear roadmap for future business transformation, which would lead to a trebling their size over the next 2-3 years as the products and services are commercialised at pace.

The Sales Development Team Leader, a crucial appointment in realising their continued growth ambition, is an exciting opportunity to help them increase profitability and ultimately unlock the potential of their market proposition.

You will be responsible for a small team of SDR’s, whilst leading by example through strong individual sales performance.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Generate your own outbound opportunities via cold calling, email, social media and other prospecting tools
  • Follow up and engage with prospects, delivering relevant marketing content as appropriate
  • Act as the first stage of discovery and qualification in the sales process
  • Uncover the prospect’s business challenges and demonstrate how Built Intelligence products provide solutions
  • Collaborate with Business Development Managers to contribute to quarterly Target Account Selling (TAS) plans, including generating accurate prospecting lists
  • Manage your own pipeline of activity, maintaining accurate forecasts and CRM hygiene
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales leadership to refine ICP targeting and outbound strategy
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of three SDRs to consistently meet or exceed monthly targets
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, pipeline reviews, and call coaching sessions
  • Build a high-performance culture based on accountability, learning and continuous improvement
  • Report monthly to the CMO on both individual and team performance against targets
  • Ensure all SDRs understand their quarterly TAS plans and provide support in shaping and executing them
  • Support the hiring and onboarding of new SDRs as the team grows
  • Contribute to wider sales process improvements, campaigns and go-to-market initiatives

The Person

  • 3+ years’ experience in a B2B sales environment, ideally within SaaS or construction
  • Proven success in an SDR or similar role, with experience exceeding personal targets
  • Experience of leading or mentoring SDRs - formally or informally
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Collaborative team player with a passion for helping others succeed
  • Excellent coaching skills and a desire to develop junior team members
  • Familiarity with HubSpot or similar CRM tools
  • Ambitious, results-oriented, and excited to scale a high-performing function

The role is remote-based, although you will be required to travel to their Bristol HQ occasionally to attend sales meetings and/or events.
