Power BI Developer - £40K

Leicester based - (5 days onsite work until probation - then dropping down to 4)

Our client is seeking a talented Power BI Developer to join their data team and play a key role in transforming data into meaningful business insight.

The role

  • Design, implement, and govern robust data models within Databricks Data Catalogues, leveraging Medallion Architecture for high-quality, analytics-ready data

  • Develop and maintain engaging, high-performance Power BI dashboards that translate complex data into clear business narratives

  • Own data quality and governance, implementing validation and integrity checks across data pipelines

  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to define KPIs, capture analytical requirements, and deliver insights that influence operational strategy

The ideal candidate

  • An excellent communicator, able to present complex analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders

  • A T-SQL expert, with strong experience writing, optimising, and debugging complex queries and procedures

  • Strong working knowledge of Python (e.g. Pandas) for scripting and data manipulation, with an interest in building production-grade pipelines

  • Deep understanding of Power BI data modelling, performance optimisation, and the impact of DAX
