Intermediate Software Developer (Data)

Your role

• Collaborate closely with Data Architects and stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
• Work with QA and Developers to ensure data quality and consistency.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries for efficient data retrieval.
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards.
• Interpret and utilize common data warehouse models to support business intelligence needs.
• Apply best practices in BI, data visualization, and self-service reporting.
• Work in an agile environment to refine requirements and enhance analytics capabilities.
• Communicate complex data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in knowledge-sharing activities with colleagues.

About You

• Experience in data analysis and data modelling.
• Proficiency in ANSI SQL or other SQL variants.
• Strong database query writing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
• Strong communication and critical thinking abilities.
• Experience designing and developing semantic models.
• Ability to interpret common data warehouse models for analytics.
• Solid understanding of best practices in BI and self-service reporting.
• Basic understanding of distributed SQL query engines designed to query large data sets.
• Basic understanding of indexing, partitioning and cost based optimization of SQL queries.
• Experience in capturing reporting requirements, designing reports, and developing dashboards using an interactive and agile approach.
• Experience with at least one BI platform, such as Apache Superset, Looker, Metabase, SAP BI/SAC, MicroStrategy, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
