Portfolio Manager Roles - Indoor Cells and Outdoor Cells (Permanent)

Location: City of London

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time  

Working Pattern:  Hybrid, 3 days in the office

We currently have two exciting permanent opportunities for experienced Portfolio Managers to lead the delivery of our Indoor and Outdoor Cells deployment programmes. These are high impact roles responsible for managing multi site portfolios, ensuring safe, high quality, on time, and on budget delivery across a wide range of connectivity projects.

As a Portfolio Manager, you will provide clear leadership, drive performance, manage risks and dependencies, and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams. You will promote a high performance culture, support capability development, and ensure a customer focused approach throughout all stages of delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end to end delivery of site deployment projects, from planning through to operational handover.
• Maintain portfolio oversight, ensuring cost, time, scope, and quality targets are achieved.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to delivery teams to drive high performance.
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations effectively.
• Oversee suppliers and contractors, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient delivery.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Finance, Procurement, Technology, and Support.
• Drive continuous improvement and champion best practice across the delivery function.

Role Specific Requirements:

Outdoor Cells Portfolio Manager

• Experience delivering outdoor small cell, macro cell, or street level telecoms deployments.
• Strong understanding of street works regulations, NRSWA, permitting, and wayleave processes.
• Knowledge of RF planning, outdoor site design, civils, and power and fibre requirements.
• Ability to manage deployment activity in public or highway environments with minimal disruption.

Indoor Cells Portfolio Manager

• Experience delivering indoor small cell, DAS, or in building connectivity solutions.
• Strong understanding of in building RF design, coverage planning, cabling, power, cooling, and mounting constraints.
• Experience engaging with building management, landlords, and internal wayleave processes.
• Proven capability delivering projects within operational or occupied buildings.

Skills and Experience (Applicable to Both Roles):

• Proven experience delivering complex, multi site telecoms or technology deployments.
• Strong commercial understanding including budgeting, forecasting, and supplier management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Highly organised, with strong analytical and problem solving capability.
• Experience leading high performing teams within a delivery or operational environment.

Desirable:

• Professional certifications such as PRINCE2, APM, PMP, MSP.
• Experience with portfolio or project management software.
• Background in telecoms, technology, engineering, or construction.
