Role Summary

Grass & Co. is seeking a dedicated and strategic Website Owner to take full ownership of the brand's digital site presence on our own DTC site and on Amazon with support of agencies.. This role is crucial for driving online revenue, enhancing the customer experience, and maximizing the performance and visibility of the brand website. The successful candidate will blend commercial acumen with a deep understanding of e-commerce, UX, and SEO to deliver continuous site improvement and profitable growth.

  • What is Needed from the Role (Key Responsibilities)Website Strategy and Ownership: Act as the ultimate owner of the brand website, defining and executing the long-term strategic roadmap to meet commercial goals and enhance brand perception.
  • Amazon Operational Ownership: Able to manage amazon seller central account (forecasting, financial metrics, order management, performance metrics)
  • Merchandising and Content Management: Lead the digital merchandising strategy, ensuring all product pages, collections, and campaigns are optimized for conversion, seasonality, and stock levels. Oversee content updates, ensuring accuracy, quality, and brand consistency across all pages.
  • For Amazon: lead Amazon-specific content optimization, including A+ Content creation, title/bullet point optimization, and understanding Amazons search algorithm.
  • Performance and Optimization: Monitor, analyze, and report on key website performance metrics (conversion rate, bounce rate, AOV, traffic sources, site speed, etc.). Identify friction points in the customer journey and lead A/B testing and CRO initiatives to optimize user flows and drive incremental revenue.
  • Customer Journey Enhancement: Map and optimize end-to-end customer journeys (from acquisition through to purchase and retention) to ensure a seamless, intuitive, and high-converting user experience across all devices.
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Define and implement a comprehensive SEO strategy (technical, on-page, and off-page) to improve organic search rankings, increase qualified traffic, and establish the site as an authority in the category.
  • Technical Liaison: Work closely with development and IT support to manage and prioritize site improvements, implement new features, and ensure overall site health and security.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to ensure the website supports integrated campaigns, product launches, and business objectives.

Key Skills and Experience Required

Technical & Digital Acumen

  • Proven experience as a Website Manager, E-commerce Manager, or similar role, preferably in the CPG or wellness space.
  • In-depth knowledge of e-commerce platform Shopify
  • Expertise in SEO best practices, including keyword research, technical SEO audits, and content optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Google Analytics and A/B testing platforms.
  • Understanding of basic HTML/CSS and website architecture is a plus.
  • Proven experience managing an Amazon Vendor or Seller Central account (forecasting, order management, performance metrics)

Strategic & Business Skills

  • Commercial mindset with a focus on driving measurable business results (revenue, conversion, efficiency).
  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business goals into technical requirements and actionable web development projects.
  • Experience in customer journey mapping and conversion rate optimization (CRO) methodologies.
