Business Development Manager
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Business Development Manager to join a fast growing IT services organisation operating at the top end of the education sector. This senior new business role works closely with the leadership team to drive growth, secure new client partnerships and build a strong and sustainable sales pipeline. You will be supported by an expert technical and delivery function, enjoy hybrid working and benefit from a competitive salary and reward package.
Salary: £60,000 per annum plus discretionary bonus
Location: Hybrid working home based with weekly office visits and UK travel
Key Responsibilities
• Identify, develop and secure new client partnerships through proactive business development activity
• Generate and manage a strong pipeline of new business and recurring revenue opportunities
• Build long term relationships using a consultative and solutions focused sales approach
• Attend industry events, exhibitions and client meetings to raise profile and win business
• Produce high quality proposals and collaborate with pre sales teams to design solutions
• Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts and sales activity reporting
• Re engage dormant accounts and support targeted marketing campaigns
Key Requirements
• Minimum 7 years experience in IT solutions or services sales
• Proven success in generating, managing and closing new business
• Strong commercial awareness with excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Familiarity with structured sales methodologies such as SPIN or Sandler
• Highly organised, resilient and driven by results
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays
• Comfortable working independently in a home based environment
