The Role
Reporting directly into the VP of Finance, who is a highly regarded, approachable leader who provides real mentorship, this is a career-building opportunity for a smart, hands-on finance professional ready to step up into a broader Finance Manager role within a SaaS environment.
You'll join a small, high-calibre team where everyone collaborates on improvement and transformation. There's genuine scope to shape how finance operates, from process design to system improvements and cross-functional business partnering.
This is an ideal step up for Financial Accountant who has a strong understanding of how AI and tech-enabled automation is the future of finance and has demonstrable experience within a scale-up / fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own financial accounting and reporting, leading month-end and year-end close with accuracy and efficiency.
- Oversee finance operations, AP, AR, payroll, and ledger management, ensuring the right tools, partners, and systems are in place.
- Drive process improvement and automation, embedding AI and data-led efficiency within finance workflows.
- Partner with department leads to manage budgets, improve ROI, and provide clear insight into spend.
- Manage UK VAT, US sales tax, and compliance with external advisors, leading the annual audit process.
- Ad hoc project support
Essential Experience:
- ACA qualified (Big 4 or Top 10 trained) with 5+ years total experience.
- A blend of strong technical grounding and some exposure to a fast-paced scale-up environment
- A process-oriented mindset with curiosity for automation, data, and modern finance tooling.
- Confident communicator
Desired Experience:
- B2B SaaS, or SaaS more broadly
- Will consider exceptional CIMA/ACCA candidates
- Self-starter: thrives in environments where ownership, proactivity, and autonomy are valued.
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 + equity
Location: Remote-first (occasional London meet-ups), with an office that you are welcome to work in
Start Date: ASAP, but will consider exceptional candidates on 3 months' notice
