Location: Nottingham (Hybrid)
Salary Range: £85,000 - £100,000
About the Role
My client is looking for a strong candidate who will lead a team of 12 as Head of Data Management. You'll set the strategic direction, drive change in data governance practices, and lead a multi-year transformation of how the organisation manages data risk, stewardship, and quality.
With strong backing from senior leadership, this role offers both strategic influence and hands-on leadership to develop a modern, scalable approach to enterprise data management.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver the organisation's Data Management Strategy.
- Lead large-scale data governance and data management transformation initiatives.
- Take responsibility for data risk policies, data stewardship (analytical, operational, and policy), and data architecture governance.
- Establish and embed strong data governance frameworks and lifecycle practices.
- Work closely with a wide range of senior stakeholders
- Provide strategic and operational stewardship over data quality, metadata, and regulatory compliance processes.
- Drive continuous improvement in how data is governed, accessed, and utilised across the organisation.
Experience & Background
- Proven experience leading data management or data governance functions.
- Background may come from data engineering, data quality, or prior data governance leadership.
- Experience delivering data transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance environments (Financial Services helpful but not essential).
- Demonstrable success leading high-performing teams in fast-paced environments.
