Digital Content Manager
Digital Content Manager | 23 Month Contract | (Outside IR35) | Edinburgh, 3 days pw| Starting ASAP
Day Rate: £187.80
Main Duties
- Engage with senior stakeholders, media and PR team, to proactively manage, maintain, create, develop and optimise the website structure and quality content for diverse audiences;
- Effectively research, maintain and enhance web strategies;
- Audit and report on website activities through the Drupal platform;
- Produce a monthly performance report, including, but not limited to, data pertaining to Google analytics, and future forecasting of website activities;
- Proactively manage, and further develop, the newly created staff Intranet;
- Proactively drive internal engagement and adoption of the staff Intranet across the organisation, to promote awareness, usage and interaction, ensuring a user-friendly, up-to-date, company-wide information platform;
- Liaise with the management team, and work with the Publications Manager on an ongoing basis, to ensure the website and Intranet are fully up-to-date and that all content is consistent, accessible and reflects business priorities;
- Act as point of contact with internal and external stakeholders, on the performance, content and security of the business website and Intranet;
- Develop clear processes and procedures to guide and support users of clients website and Intranet;
- Ensure suitable website and Intranet training for colleagues across the business is available where required;
- Be responsible for ensuring all aspects of website and Intranet conforms with Scottish Government's respective policies on IT
Essential Skills & Experience:
- A formal digital content qualification and/or significant experience in digital communications within a sensitive and confidential environment
- High levels of oral and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present and engage in a range of internal and external settings
- Excellent working knowledge of all forms of digital communications and content management systems, which includes writing and designing high quality content
- Experience of working in a high performing, fast-paced, dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment
- Proven ability to work under pressure, plan, prioritise, manage competing demands and meet tight deadlines
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- A high degree of personal resilience and the ability to deal with what can be a distressing subject matter
- IT Literate, with strong knowledge in MS 365, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Meticulous attention to detail
