Finance Manger
Your new company Due to continued growth, this leading PLC technology business in Cheshire is creating a brand-new senior finance role. Reporting directly to an impressive CFO, you'll join the leadership team at a pivotal time. This is an excellent opportunity for a second-time mover from practice who is ready to step into a progressive, career defining position. Your new role This newly created role provides an exciting opportunity to influence the future direction of the Finance function. You will be responsible for driving strategic improvements, embedding best practice, and ensuring the department continues to deliver at the highest standard across the business. Your position will be central to maintaining a strong financial control environment, ensuring compliance with internal policies as well as IFRS and US GAAP requirements. A core part of the role will involve overseeing the production of accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting transparency and accountability throughout the organisation. You will also serve as the primary escalation point for finance-related queries, working closely with colleagues across the wider finance function to resolve issues efficiently and effectively. Collaboration with the FP&A team will be essential, as you work together to generate meaningful insights that inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement. In addition, you will take ownership of the statutory audit process, managing relationships with external auditors and tax advisors, while also consulting with the UK&I Head of Finance on complex US GAAP matters.
What you'll need to succeed You will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified professional with strong technical accounting expertise and a solid understanding of both IFRS and US GAAP. You'll have experience l leading strategic initiatives, influence change, and driving innovation across the business. Experienced working closely with senior stakeholders whilst using your analytical skills and commercial insight to shape decisions and deliver measurable results. You'll have excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, you'll be confident simplifying complex information and building strong cross-functional relationships.
