PMO Manager

We are seeking a highly capable Portfolio Analyst / Senior PMO professional to support a complex portfolio of strategic initiatives at C-Suite and MD level within the bank. This role requires exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, first-class analytical capability and the ability to operate with precision, pace and professionalism in a demanding, fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage directly with C-Suite and MD-level stakeholders, providing delivery assurance, clear communication and high-quality insight.
  • Manage a small portfolio of initiatives, ensuring robust oversight, structured governance and accurate information flow.
  • Collate, interpret and challenge portfolio inputs, asking the difficult but necessary questions to ensure clarity, quality and alignment.
  • Identify, flag and manage risks, issues, blockers and escalations in a timely and controlled manner.
  • Produce high-quality reports, presentations and documentation that meet the expectations of senior leadership.

Operate effectively in a rapidly changing environment, maintaining structure, accuracy and composure under pressure.Essential Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrable experience working directly with C-Suite and MD-level stakeholders within a bank or similar complex organisation.
  • Proven experience in delivery assurance, portfolio oversight or managing a small portfolio of programmes or projects.
  • Strong data analysis capability, including interpreting performance, financial and resource metrics.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including experience with VBA or Macros.
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and confidently to senior audiences.
  • Ability to generate high-quality reports and dashboards, with strong attention to detail and a clear visual style.
  • Confident stakeholder management, with the ability to present data, respond to challenge and provide recommendations.
  • Strong Microsoft Office capability, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable working at pace and adapting to changing priorities.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience developing interactive dashboards using reporting tools or visualisation software.
  • Strong documentation skills, with the ability to produce structured methodologies, process documentation and portfolio summaries.
