Strategic Procurement Business Partner

Your new role As a Strategic Procurement Business Partner, you will act as a senior commercial advisor to Executive Leaders and Directors across your assigned categories - across IT, FM and Workplace Services. You will shape procurement and commercial strategies that support the organisation's wider goals, ensuring value for money and effective management of commercial risk. Your work will involve identifying opportunities for innovation and cost savings, developing business cases, and leading complex procurement activity from pre-tender planning through to negotiation, contract implementation and evaluation. You will use data-driven insights to guide decision-making, ensure compliance with commercial policies and legislation, and challenge existing approaches when better commercial outcomes are possible. This is a highly influential role that requires strong relationship-building skills, confidence operating at senior levels and the ability to navigate complex, fast-changing environments. What you'll need to succeed You will bring significant experience in developing and delivering procurement strategies within complex organisations, including managing multi-million-pound contracts and negotiating detailed commercial terms. You will be qualified in, or working towards, MCIPS and supported by relevant business-related study. Success in this role will come from your ability to analyse supply markets, evaluate risk, think strategically and influence senior stakeholders. Strong analytical capability, excellent negotiation skills, project management experience and the confidence to challenge constructively will be essential. You will also be comfortable working with uncertainty, managing competing priorities and building strong relationships across directorates.
