About the role
As a technician 3, we are seeking a detail-oriented and security-cleared ELS Migration Support Specialist to assist with Phase 2 of the Migration project at Beachley Barracks. The role involves supporting the Refresh Clinic setup, device migration, laptop refresh activities, and stock management under the guidance of the Contractor Engineer and Site Manager.

Shifts: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours)

Location: Beachley Barracks - Chepstow
Shift: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Contract Duration: 24th October 2025 till 4th November 2025


Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assist in setting up and refreshing the onsite Refresh Clinic.
• Move the required quantity of devices from onsite storage to the Refresh Clinic as instructed by the Contractor Engineer and Site Manager.
• Log in to systems using devices provided, under the guidance of the Contractor Engineer and Site Manager.
• Perform laptop refresh activities as per project instructions.
• Accurately update the Contractor's workflow management system at all relevant steps.
• Seek guidance from the Post Migration Technical Support Specialist and Site Manager when needed.
• Conduct daily manual stock checks and report findings to the Contractor Engineer and Site Manager.
• Assist in securing devices in the onsite storage location at the end of each day.
• Ensure compliance with client security protocols and maintain SC Clearance standards.

Other stuff we're potentially looking for:

• Security Clearance: Must hold current SC Clearance.
• Experience: Prior experience in IT hardware handling, device refresh, or migration projects preferred.

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Familiarity with workflow management systems.

• A per hour rate, in-scope IR35, of £ 19.38/hr (PAYE) OR £25.15/hr (via a Hays Approved Umbrella Company).
