Position Available: Category Manager - Software/Hardware
Salary: £65,000 - £72,000 + Bonus & Benefits
Experience needed: The ability to write and lead a category strategy. A strong background in indirect procurement across categories such as Software, Networks & Telecoms, Cyber, AI/HPC, Hardware, IT Services or Data Centres.
About the role
We are growing our Digital Procurement function and are hiring a Group Category Manager to support our expanding digital landscape. You will help shape procurement strategy across key technology categories and work closely with stakeholders to develop effective, forward-looking plans. This role offers the chance to operate internationally, contribute to a supportive team culture, and develop your career within a dynamic and evolving environment.
What we need from you:
- Proven experience at Category Management level
- Ability to operate strategically, developing market insight, building robust category plans, identifying risks and opportunities, and influencing decisions at Group level
- Experience in creating short, medium and long-term procurement strategies
- Confidence in mentoring and guiding Buyers to deliver complex procurement projects
- Comfortable collaborating across international, multicultural environments
- MCIPS qualification, or willingness to work towards it
