Junior tech lawyer @ beauty brand
This role sits close to the business and covers a broad commercial, procurement and technology remit, with exposure to digital transformation and AI-related work. You’ll report into a senior lawyer, but you’ll have real ownership, visibility, and the chance to influence how the business operates at scale.
What the role looks like
- Advising the business on direct and indirect procurement across a global footprint
- Drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements (supply chain, logistics, professional services, outsourcing, licensing, tech, SaaS, software development, hosting, facilities, store design, etc.)
- Supporting digital, product, engineering, data and technology teams, including AI scoping, implementation and guardrails
- Providing commercially pragmatic advice on day-to-day legal queries and risk
- Supporting wider legal work as needed (including distribution, marketing and advertising)
- Helping develop legal processes, policies, templates and training across the business
Who this would suit
- A qualified solicitor in England & Wales (c.2–4 PQE)
- Strong grounding in commercial law, with genuine interest or experience in technology, digital and IT contracts
- Trained at a leading law firm or within a reputable in-house legal team
- Comfortable advising stakeholders, influencing decisions, and balancing risk with commercial reality
- Interested in working within a fast-paced, international consumer / retail environment
Why this role stands out
- Broad, modern in-house remit (commercial + tech + AI)
- Exposure to a global business, multi-jurisdictional issues, and senior stakeholders
- Opportunity to help shape legal processes, templates and playbooks
- Strong platform for long-term in-house development rather than a narrow silo
