A rapidly scaling technology company is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to play a key role in elevating the quality and reliability of a mission‐critical web platform. 🔧 The Role
As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will take ownership of designing, building, and improving automated test suites for complex, modern web applications. Working closely with engineering teams, you’ll help embed quality throughout the SDLC and drive best practice across automation, performance, and security testing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, maintaining, and scaling automated test suites
- Executing manual tests and identifying high‐value automation opportunities
- Contributing to performance and security testing, including OAuth2 authentication
- Managing test documentation, traceability, and reporting
- Ensuring robust cross‐browser and time‐zone‐aware testing strategies for modern web apps
🧩 What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for an experienced automation specialist with a passion for quality and engineering excellence. The ideal contractor will have:
- Strong experience in automated testing for web applications
- Solid experience in TypeScript and JavaScript, with bonus points for React.js experience
- Advanced experience with Playwright, plus familiarity with Cypress or Selenium
- Solid understanding of the SDLC, agile delivery, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with BDD tools such as Gherkin/Cucumber
- Familiarity with test management tools such as Xray/Jira
- A background working in high‐complexity, security‐critical environments (e.g., finance, energy etc)
- Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills, with a detail‐oriented mindset
