About the Opportunity

We’re representing a well-established UK business that continues to invest heavily in its people and technology. They’re now looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to join their friendly, close-knit IT team.

This is an exciting role for someone who enjoys being hands-on with IT, solving problems, and getting involved in projects as well as day-to-day support. You’ll be given the chance to work independently, while still being part of a team that values collaboration and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing IT support across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and printers
• Troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues (Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Group Policy)
• Supporting networking (LAN/WAN, VPNs, Wi-Fi)
• Assisting with upgrades, migrations, and IT projects
• Managing tickets and service requests efficiently
• Supporting non-technical colleagues in a friendly, clear way
• Travelling to other UK sites when needed

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in a Desktop/IT Support role within a business environment
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Group Policy
• Solid grasp of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, VPNs, Wi-Fi)
• A proactive, customer-focused problem solver
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to support all user levels
• Full UK driving licence and your own vehicle (essential)

Desirable extras:

• ITIL knowledge or service management experience
• Cloud/remote support exposure
• Certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco)
