About the Role
We are seeking an experienced kdb+ Developer to join a leading bank in London on a contract basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-performance environments and has a proven track record of delivering scalable solutions for time-series data.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust kdb+/q architectures for large-scale financial data.
- Collaborate with traders, quants, and analysts to translate business requirements into efficient code.
- Optimise systems for performance and scalability in production environments.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior developers.
- Own the full development lifecycle: design, build, test, and support.
Required Skills
- Deep expertise in kdb+/q development.
- Strong experience with time-series data and high-volume systems.
- Solid background in Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and business stakeholders.
- Previous experience in capital markets or investment banking.
Nice-to-Have
- Knowledge of Python, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Exposure to tick data, real-time analytics, or electronic trading systems.

- Location: London office (3 days per week onsite).
