As we continue to enjoy an exciting period of growth in the UK, we are looking for additional resources to support us with our upcoming projects. The IT Manager leads in IT Infrastructure Operations.

Key duties include:

  • Service ownership and leadership, overall accountability for infrastructure services scope, quality and outcomes, govern delivery against KPIs/SLAs.
  • Team leadership in the UK, actively participating in new hirings and TUPE process.
  • Build, motivate and coach a high-performing service teams in UK; drive effective resource planning, knowledge sharing, succession planning and skills development aligned to Group standards.
  • Responsible for service transition and tooling, running infrastructure operations and lifecycle management.
  • SLA and performance assurance. Analyse trends, and drive corrective and preventive actions to protect availability and performance.
  • Act as strategic escalation points for complex issues, overseeing service processes, ensuring risk management, compliance, and security.
  • Provide regular performance reporting and contribute to governance forums.
  • Stakeholder engagement, principal escalation and reporting point to the client, coordinate with adjacent service towers and third parties.
  • Financial stewardship, budget, forecasting and cost-to-serve optimisation.
  • Driving continuous improvement. Drive maturity and process optimisation (Lean IT), automation and standardisation.

This is a senior leadership role requiring a strong ITIL-based service management background, proven people leadership, and demonstrable success in high-volume, time-critical IT operations.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, IT Management or a related discipline
  • ITIL v3 or ITIL 4 Foundation (minimum); Intermediate/Managing Professional preferred.
  • Desirable: Project Management certification (PRINCE2/PMP) and/or Lean IT.
  • Proven experience of at least 8 years as Service Delivery Manager for IT operations on On-premises and Cloud Infrastructure.
  • At least 5 years in large-scale, mission-critical operations.
  • Experience in service delivery to UK public institutions.
  • References of enhancing service excellence and operational efficiency based on process streamlining and automation
  • Extensive global knowledge of IT infrastructure with strong focus on compute platforms, operating systems, virtualization, database technologies, networking, storage and backup solutions. Main technologies:
  • Microsoft Windows Server / RedHat Liunx
  • VMWare
  • MS SQL Server, Oracle Database
  • CISCO
  • Azure Cloud
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL, PMBOK/PMP or PRINCE2,
  • Proven leadership in GDPR and PCI DSS compliance,
  • People leadership, excellent communication and senior-client stakeholder skills, team development and performance management.
  • Decision-making under pressure, incident and conflict resolution and a continuous improvement mindset.
