Technical Product Owner in Animal Health Manufacturing - Inside IR35

Role: TPO MSD Animal Health Manufacturing
Rate: 375.00£/day inside Ir35
Location: remote UK

The TPO will support multiple products - including utility analytics (energy monitoring with sensors and vendor Clockworks), an internal Power App (user acceptance testing), and a document management system.

Activities:

Vision and Strategy

• Define and communicate the product vision and strategy.
• Align product goals with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate progress.
• Facilitate decision-making and trade-offs between features, scope, and timelines.
• Use insights to inform product decisions and backlog prioritization.

Release Planning and Management

• Plan product releases and coordinate with support teams and users.
• Define release goals and success metrics.
• Monitor product performance post-release and iterate accordingly.

Performance Tracking and Reporting

• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for the product.
• Track product metrics and analyse data to inform decisions.
• Report progress and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive process improvements within the product development life cycle.

Keeping the Business Running

• Support business continuity by planning for disaster recovery and risk mitigation related to the product.
• Co-ordinate with support and operations teams to address critical incidents and user issues.
• Maintain documentation and training materials for internal teams and users.
• Monitor and manage product licensing or subscriptions whilst comply with internal financial processes.
