Senior Manager – Tagetik Projects
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Manager with deep Tagetik technical expertise to lead the development, optimisation, and day-to-day management of our Tagetik platform. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being personally embedded in the system and has strong experience across Analytical Workspace, stored procedures, data manipulation, reporting, and data integration (ETL & Datasources).
A background in consolidation processes is advantageous but not essential.
Role Overview
As the technical owner and lead developer of the Tagetik platform, you will focus on Analytical Workspace design, data modelling, and advanced system logic. While stakeholder interaction and solution design are part of the role, this position is primarily hands-on, involving regular build, testing, troubleshooting, and optimisation within Tagetik.
You will collaborate closely with Finance and IT teams to ensure accurate, scalable, and high-quality data flows, analytics, and reporting outputs in a fast-paced financial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Tagetik Build & Technical Ownership (Hands-On)
- Serve as the hands-on technical lead for Tagetik, responsible for system build and configuration
- Design, build, and maintain Analytical Workspace models, ETL processes, validations, and reports
- Develop and optimise solutions, models, calculations, and transformation logic
- Perform advanced data manipulation, validation, and reconciliation across Tagetik modules
- Troubleshoot performance, data integrity, and calculation issues
Data, SQL & Integrations
- Use SQL extensively for data extraction, transformation, validation, and root-cause analysis
- Manage data interfaces between Tagetik and upstream/downstream systems, including ETL, Datasource configurations, and API/SFTP integrations
- Ensure robustness, auditability, and performance of data flows and analytical outputs
Stakeholder & Team Enablement
- Translate finance requirements into practical, technically sound system solutions
- Act as a Tagetik subject matter expert, supporting and upskilling users
- Produce clear technical documentation, build standards, and best-practice guidelines
Required Experience & Skills
Essential:
- 6–8 years of hands-on Tagetik experience, with regular/daily system usage
- Strong expertise in:
- Analytical Workspace Models
- ETL / complex data source queries
- Excel Add-in reporting and advanced dynamicity
- Data manipulation and transformations
- Advanced SQL capability (querying, performance tuning, validation)
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end builds, enhancements, and optimisations
- Comfortable working independently in a hands-on technical role
Desirable:
- Experience in Private Equity, asset management, or financial services
- Exposure to consolidation processes and Financial Workspace functionality
- Experience supporting finance transformation or systems optimisation programmes
