Technical Business Analyst

6 Month initial contract **Inside IR35**

We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join a strategic re-platforming programme for a customer-facing online claims handling portal. This role sits at the heart of multiple delivery squads and plays a key part in shaping modern, API-driven customer journeys across our claims ecosystem.

What you’ll be doing

  • Analyse front-end designs and back-end API specifications to produce clear end-to-end mapping documentation
  • Create high-quality user stories capturing requirements for our back-end claims handling systems
  • Analyse and document “AS IS” business logic within the existing portal to help define and optimise future customer journeys
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis to support refinement queries and backlog grooming
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, Architects, and multiple delivery squads

What we’re looking for

  • Strong understanding of API-driven architectures and the technical stack supporting customer journeys:
  • Front End
  • Insurance experience
  • BFF (Backend for Frontend)
  • APIs
  • Core Back-End systems
  • Proven experience working as a Technical Business Analyst in an Agile environment
  • Excellent working knowledge of JIRA, including backlog management and refinement
  • Solid estimation skills to support sprint and delivery planning
  • Domain knowledge of Motor and/or Household insurance
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work across multiple teams and technical disciplines
