An established and values-driven organisation is seeking a Technical Reporting (BI) Assistant to support its data-driven decision-making capability. This is an excellent opportunity for an analytically minded individual to help design, develop and maintain Business Intelligence solutions while delivering high-quality management reporting across the business.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders and reporting specialists, playing a key role in transforming data into meaningful, actionable insight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support ETL processes to extract, transform and load data from multiple source systems into reporting environments, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a robust BI and reporting framework, following best-practice data connectivity principles
  • Design, build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports, primarily using Power BI
  • Produce timely, accurate and user-friendly management reports, both scheduled and ad hoc
  • Identify, investigate and resolve data quality issues, conducting audits where required
  • Provide first-line technical support to business users, troubleshooting BI and reporting queries
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and user guides
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into effective BI solutions
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve data processes and reporting efficiency
  • Support ad hoc projects and provide team cover during peak periods or absence
Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Experience using data visualisation and reporting tools
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, including complex formulas and pivot tables
  • Experience integrating data from multiple systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt as the role evolves

Desirable

  • Experience using Power BI, including DAX
  • Exposure to programming languages
  • ETL development experience
