Job summary
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Digital Channel Manager to lead the management and optimisation of Keech Hospices digital channels. This is a key role, responsible for ensuring that our website, social media, email marketing, SEO, and PPC campaigns are effective, on-brand, and deliver measurable results. The post holder will provide line management of the Digital Officer / Digital Content Producer, overseeing content scheduling, optimisation, and performance monitoring. They will work closely with the Campaign & Brand Manager to ensure digital channels support wider campaigns and organisational objectives
Main duties of the job
Manage and optimise Keech Hospices digital channels, including website, social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter), and email marketing.
Lead SEO and PPC strategies to maximise reach, engagement, and ROI.
Provide line management, guidance, and development for the Digital Officer / Digital Content Producer.
Monitor and analyse digital performance metrics, providing insights to improve campaigns and supporter engagement.
Ensure all digital activity is on-brand, accessible, and compliant with GDPR and other regulations.
Identify and implement digital marketing best practice, trends, and innovations.
Collaborate with the Campaign & Brand Manager to ensure digital channels effectively support broader marketing campaigns.

Job responsibilities
The post holder will oversee the hospices website, social media platforms, email marketing, SEO, and PPC activity, ensuring digital activity supports wider organisational goals. They will provide analysis and insights to guide continuous improvement, and work in close collaboration with the Campaign & Brand Manager to deliver integrated and effective digital campaigns. The role includes formal line management responsibility for the Digital Officer / Digital Content Producer, providing guidance, support, and performance management. The post holder also holds functional oversight of digital platforms and analytics, ensuring campaigns are effectively delivered online and aligned with organisational objectives.
Specific duties:
Digital Channel Management Manage and oversee Keech Hospices digital channels, including website, social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter), and email marketing systems.
Develop, implement, and monitor strategies for each digital channel in line with organisational objectives and campaign plans.
Ensure all digital activity is on-brand, consistent, accessible, and aligned with campaign and organisational priorities.
Provide line management for the Digital Officer / Digital Content Producer, including performance management, development, and workload allocation. SEO, PPC & Analytics Oversee SEO and PPC activities, ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and return on investment.
Monitor analytics and performance metrics across channels, producing reports and insights to inform strategy.
Provide recommendations to improve reach, engagement, conversions, and supporter journeys.
Content and Collaboration
Work with the Digital Officer / Digital Content Producer to plan, schedule, and optimise digital content across platforms.
Collaborate with the Campaign & Brand Manager to ensure digital channels effectively support wider campaigns.
Support internal communications through digital platforms as required.
Innovation and Best Practice Identify and implement best practice, trends, and innovations in digital marketing to continuously improve performance.
Ensure compliance with accessibility standards, GDPR, and digital marketing regulations.
General Duties
Attend key events and campaigns to provide digital support and oversight where needed.
Represent Keech Hospice as an ambassador at all times.
Undertake any other activity deemed necessary by the Head of Marketing and Communications.
Person Specification
Experience
- Experience of managing digital channels including websites, social media, and email platforms.
- Proven ability to deliver and evaluate digital campaigns
- Experience of using content management systems and email marketing platforms
- Experience of working in the charity or not-for-profit sector
- Experience of using CRM or supporter databases in marketing
Additional Criteria
- Knowledge of SEO, PPC, and digital advertising.
- Knowledge of accessibility and data protection requirements for digital marketing.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, social media insights
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with supporter or fundraising-focused digital campaigns.
- Knowledge of digital innovation and emerging platforms
