What You’ll Be Doing

As a Graduate Cloud Engineer, you’ll work on real-world cloud solutions that support our business and customers. You’ll gain experience in:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Setup: Assist in building and maintaining cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Automation & Scripting: Use Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation to automate provisioning and deployments
  • Monitoring & Performance: Help set up monitoring, alerting, and performance optimisation for cloud systems using tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, or Prometheus
  • Security & Compliance: Support cloud security efforts, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance monitoring
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Work with DevOps teams to automate build, test, and deployment workflows using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Help resolve issues in cloud-hosted environments and support application teams with deployment and scalability needs
  • Learning & Research: Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in cloud computing, DevOps, and infrastructure design

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • A recent graduate (or soon-to-be) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of cloud concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and interest in platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems and basic networking principles
  • Some experience in scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Enthusiasm for automation, systems reliability, and cloud innovation
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work collaboratively with others

Nice to Have (But Not Required):

  • University or personal project experience with cloud tools or services
  • Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or ARM templates
  • Familiarity with containers (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD principles or version control systems like Git
  • Completion of a cloud-related course or certification (e.g. AWS Academy, Azure Fundamentals)
