Data Protection Specialist - 12 Month Contract

Currently working with a leading, forward-thinking organisation that's looking for an experienced Data Protection Specialist (contract) to join their high‐performing Data Protection & Information Security team. This person will have a good level of experience in privacy and data protection laws and operational processes.

Candidates from a financial services (FinTech), insurance (InsurTech) or a HealthTech background are of priority.

You'll be playing a key role in strengthening privacy operations, ensuring compliance with data protection laws, and supporting the delivery of technology transformation projects. This is a hands‐on role and a fantastic opportunity to join a organisation that is passionate about privacy, in which you will help shape data protection practices.

Key Experience includes:

  • A financial services (FinTech), insurance (InsurTech) or a HealthTech background
  • Strong background in privacy or operational data protection roles
  • Working knowledge of GDPR, PECR, and UK DPA 2018
  • Proven ability to manage Subject Rights Requests and Data Subject Access Requests
  • Experience conducting Data Risk Assessments, DPIAs, and breach investigations
  • Understanding of IT systems / information security
  • Excellent stakeholder management
  • Pragmatic, adaptable, and delivery‐focused mindset
  • Experience with OneTrust or other privacy tools is a nice to have

This is a initial 12 months contract, paying up to £600 per day inside IR35 – Hybrid - 3x a week in London
