Technical Product Manager

We’re hiring: Technical Product Manager | £70K - £90K | Cambridge (Hybrid)

We’re partnering with a globally respected organisation in the education sector to hire a senior-level Technical Product Manager to help shape and scale its AI Centre of Excellence (COE).

This is a newly created, high-impact role sitting at the heart of the organisation’s AI strategy. You’ll lead a central product capability that enables multiple AI delivery pods across the business - setting direction, accelerating value, and raising the bar for product management maturity across the community.

In this role, you’ll act as the bridge between business, technology, and data science - owning the COE product roadmap while coaching and supporting Product Managers embedded in AI pods across the organisation.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Owning and driving the AI COE product roadmap, aligned to business strategy and measurable outcomes
  • Leading a central technical product team
  • Coaching and mentoring Product Managers across the organisation—helping them unblock delivery, improve practice, and sharpen value narratives
  • Bridging technical and non-technical audiences, translating complex AI capabilities into clear business value
  • Working closely with Data Science, Engineering, Platform teams, and external partners to accelerate responsible AI delivery
  • Driving strong value measurement, adoption, and communication around milestones and outcomes
  • Navigating governance, compliance, and risk considerations within a central AI programme

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong experience as a senior or technical Product Manager, ideally within platform, data, or AI-adjacent environments
  • Enough technical depth to partner credibly with engineers and data scientists (without needing to be hands-on)
  • Exposure to AI / ML products or capabilities, with a pragmatic understanding of what it takes to deliver them responsibly
  • Proven ability to coach, guide, and influence other Product Managers—not just deliver your own roadmap
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder skills; able to inform, ask, then request rather than dictate
  • A commercial, outcome-focused mindset with confidence in measuring and explaining value
  • Comfortable operating in complex, matrixed environments with senior stakeholders

If you’re a personable, thoughtful product leader who enjoys enabling others to succeed, shaping strategy, and operating at the intersection of AI, technology, and business value, this is a genuinely standout opportunity. Get in touch!
