Channel Account Executive

Role Overview

The Channel Account Executive will provide essential support to the IT Channel Sales team and its strategic distribution partners across the UK. This role is ideal for individuals who are:

  • Starting their career in IT channel or vendor sales
  • Transitioning from sales support, customer experience, partner admin, or enablement roles
  • Looking to build commercial and partner-facing experience within the IT distribution ecosystem

You will receive structured training and hands-on exposure to distributor sales teams, vendor programs, promotions, and opportunity pipeline activity. You will work closely with Channel Managers, Business Development, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Experience teams to ensure partners are supported and enabled for success.

Key Responsibilities

Partner & Distributor Support

  • Assist with distributor engagement and relationship activity alongside senior Channel Managers
  • Attend partner offices and support meetings, training sessions, and joint planning initiatives
  • Act as an initial point of contact for partner requests, coordinating internal responses and escalating when required
  • Support distributor access to pricing, product information, and vendor programs

Sales & Commercial Administration

  • Help track distributor-led opportunities, deal registrations, and pricing support requests
  • Support quote preparation and bid activity under senior guidance
  • Maintain timely and accurate updates on deal progress and partner sales activity
  • Assist distributor sales teams with opportunity advancement through internal coordination and fast turnaround support

Enablement & Training Coordination

  • Schedule and support product and solution enablement sessions for distributor sales teams
  • Assist with training delivery by preparing materials, tracking participation, and sharing sales resources
  • Support onboarding of new distributor sales staff into product positioning and vendor programs
  • Develop foundational knowledge across infrastructure, hardware, and power protection solutions, including the Legrand UPS portfolio

Marketing & Campaign Support

  • Assist with the execution of distributor-led campaigns, incentives, and promotions
  • Track campaign engagement and relay partner feedback to internal teams
  • Support awareness and uptake of vendor initiatives across distributor sales teams

Internal Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with internal Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Operations, and CX teams
  • Maintain CRM updates, partner records, and pipeline hygiene
  • Assist with forecasting inputs and channel performance reporting
  • Share channel observations and competitor insights internally

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Strong interest in building a career in IT channel or vendor sales
  • Comfortable working in partner environments, including on-site distributor offices
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and learn quickly in a fast-paced commercial ecosystem
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail

Beneficial (Not required)

  • Experience in sales support, CRM administration, partner coordination, or enablement activity
  • Exposure to IT resellers or distributors
  • Interest or awareness in IT infrastructure, data centre, hardware, or power solutions
  • UPS system experience
