Contract Product Manager – Travel Retail (Media & eCommerce)
London (Hybrid)
6-month contract - Inside IR35
We’re looking for a hands-on, commercially minded Product Manager to help build and grow a new travel retail proposition inside a large, high-traffic digital media business.
This is a product-led role focused on shaping direction, validating opportunities, and improving the end-to-end travel booking journey
You’ll work at the intersection of content, product, eCommerce, and commercial teams to turn engaged readers into travel customers.
Responsibilities:
- Own product strategy, roadmap and backlog for a new travel retail product
- Run experiments to improve article → retail conversion journeys
- Analyse user behaviour, CTR and conversion using analytics tools
- Manage travel tech vendors and booking system integrations (APIs, pricing feeds, booking flows)
- Partner with commercial teams on pricing, offers and revenue performance
- Collaborate with marketing on acquisition, retention and CRM initiatives
- Scope and plan future phases, including resourcing and cost
- Provide regular updates and data-led recommendations to senior stakeholders
Must have:
- 7+ years’ experience as a Product Manager
- Background in eCommerce, travel, marketplaces or subscription products
- Strong experience running experiments and using data to inform decisions
- Commercial mindset with experience owning KPIs (conversion, LTV, profitability)
- Comfortable working autonomously and influencing senior stakeholders
Nice to have:
- Experience with travel booking systems or API integrations
- Media or digital publishing background
- Experience in subscription or membership-led businesses
- Understanding of editorial or content-driven ecosystems
