Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes) to support the deployment of research-focused applications and services within a private cloud environment. The successful candidate will design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines, ensuring efficient, scalable, and reliable delivery of applications using Virtual Machines and Kubernetes.

You will work closely with end users and stakeholders to gather technical requirements and ensure that application deployments align with business needs and available infrastructure resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain IaC pipelines for application deployment
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes
  • Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions
  • Ensure efficient utilization of infrastructure resources within a private cloud environment
  • Support and improve reliability, scalability, and security of deployed services
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Extensive DevOps Engineer experience
  • Strong experience deploying applications with Kubernetes
  • Proven experience implementing CI/CD pipelines
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform
  • Knowledge of public and private cloud environments
  • Experience working within a Higher Education environment
