Business Development Manager

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Salary Range: £40,000 - £50,000 (OTE £100k)

Status: Permanent

Location: Cheltenham

The role:

We’re looking for a driven IT sales professional to help drive growth and shape new opportunities. You’ll take ownership of building a strong new business pipeline, developing targeted prospect lists, and delivering against sales and profit targets across four key solution areas: Cloud & Datacentre, Modern Workplace, Cyber Security, and Managed Services.

In this role, you’ll help bring fresh ideas to the table, strengthen client relationships, and ensure organisations receive the insight and expertise they need from our specialist teams. We achieve our vision by helping our clients to exceed theirs.

We’re looking for someone with genuine hunger for success—an individual who thrives on connecting with new businesses, prospecting, and turning challenges into opportunities. You’ll be relentless in your pursuit of new business, with the tenacity to open doors and the drive to exceed targets.

If you have a track record of success in a new business environment within the IT or technology sector, we’d love to hear from you.

Your responsibilities as a Business Development Manager will be:

  • Develop new business opportunities by building a strong pipeline through channels such as cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, social media engagement and targeted prospecting.
  • Understand client needs — both current and future — and identify how our full portfolio of solutions can support their goals, including Managed IT, Office Supplies, Print, Smart Technology, Managed Print Services, Interiors, PPE, Facilities and Workwear.
  • Drive consistent sales activity, taking a proactive approach to appointment-setting and achieving agreed activity and sales targets.
  • Plan and deliver customer site visits to showcase our capabilities and demonstrate the value of our solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with our Professional Services teams on pricing, proposals, and tender submissions.
  • Take part in weekly calling days aimed at securing high-quality, face-to-face meetings with prospective clients.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, ensuring all prospect and account information is kept up to date
  • Stay current with product, vendor and market developments, maintaining relevant accreditations and expanding your knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends.

About you:

  • You have a genuine interest in the IT industry and are ready to grow your career in a fast-moving sales environment.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, Microsoft 365, Modern Workplace, Azure, cloud solutions, virtualisation, security, data and BCDR would be a strong advantage.
  • You understand the value of IT support and managed services and how they drive business outcomes.
  • You have recent new-business sales experience with a proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • You’re self-motivated, collaborative, and able to communicate clearly and professionally at all levels.
  • You build strong, long-term relationships and adapt your approach to suit a wide range of clients.
  • You have a positive, growth-focused mindset and a willingness to keep developing your skills.
  • Experience in the IT sector or an IT-related qualification is an advantage.
  • A full, clean driving licence is required for this role.

Our Benefits:

A desirable benefits package is available to support personal and professional wellbeing, reward hard work, and help you flourish in all areas of life:

  • A base salary of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending upon experience)
  • Generous uncapped commission, with OTE of £100k within reach
  • Hybrid working structure with flexibility to work from home part of the week
  • Company car
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service
