MERJE is seeking an experienced Financial Controller for a leading Design / Technology company. The Role

As Financial Controller, you will lead the financial strategy, oversee all financial operations, and play a crucial role in shaping the company's future. Working closely with the CEO, Managing Partners, the Partners team and with external advisors you would be an essential asset to the business.

Key Responsibilities of the Financial Controller:

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals
• Oversee all financial operations, including Month End full process, Budgeting, Forecasting, Cashflow, Reconciliations, Payment Runs, Variance Analysis, Tax Reporting, Audit Liaison, and Management & Statutory reporting
• Act as a Finance Business Partner to all elements of the business
• Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices

Required knowledge and experience for the Financial Controller role:

• Proven experience in a senior Finance role from an SME / Owner managed business preferably in the media / design / Technology sector or similar Industry
• Strong understanding of financial management and strategic planning
• Demonstrable experience of business partnering and relaying Finance information to non-finance people.
• Experience of dealing with Stakeholders
• Excellent leadership and communication skills along with time management skills
• Proficiency in financial software and data analysis and improvement of processes and systems
• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or strong Qualified by Experience
