Senior Finance Manager

We're working with one of the UK’s fastest-scaling tech startups - a VC-backed business that's disrupting the game. Born out of a genuine frustration with the existing system, this team has taken a user-first approach to solving a long-standing problem. In just a few years, they've expanded into multiple UK cities and recently launched in the US.

With fresh investment on the way, they're scaling and need a hands-on Senior Finance Manager ready to step into a senior leadership role within a high-growth, international-facing business

Manchester (Hybrid – 4 days onsite) | £65,000 - £70,000 Equity Options Great perks

Recognised recently by a major UK tech index for their rapid scale, they’re building something that’s making waves. You’ll be central to all things financial: from modelling and reporting to overseeing compliance, payroll, and international tax matters. The successful candidate will act as both the strategic guide and operational backbone of the finance function, playing a key role in supporting their global scale-up plans.

What you'll be doing:

  • Build and maintain robust financial models to support leadership and investors
  • Lead monthly and quarterly reporting, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and strategic relevance
  • Own the budgeting and forecasting process, translating data into actionable insights
  • Manage cash flow, monitor working capital and support international expansion
  • Oversee payroll and ensure compliance with evolving regulations
  • Maintain financial governance and manage relationships with external auditors
  • Support on tax matters, including UK and international (plus R&D credits)
  • Administer EMI schemes and pension contributions

Candidate requirements:

  • Experience leading or owning finance in a tech startup, SaaS business, or scaling SME
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with (or curiosity to learn) international finance operations, particularly US-based
  • Comfortable being hands-on, this is a doer’s role, not just oversight
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner with stakeholders across the business
  • Someone who thrives in fast-paced environments where they can shape and build

Next Steps:

We're seeking UK-based applicants who can commute to a central Manchester location and don't require visa sponsorship. If you're ready to leverage your skills for maximum impact, apply now!
