IT Support Engineer

Our client a successful FMCG business is seeking a IT Support Engineer to support for 18+months period (maternity cover) supporting the IT infrastructure and services used across all company sites, ensuring its integrity, efficiency, availability and security.

• Reports directly to the IT Infrastructure and Services Manager.
• Provide advanced and high-quality IT user support
• Proactive and reactive IT system maintenance
• It is a 3rd line hands-on role with an interesting variety of enterprise hardware and software.

Experience:

• You will have several years of experience gained in desktop and server environments within medium sized business environments.
• Support Windows workstations, HP network equipment, HP Servers, Virtualisation environments (Hyper-V and VMWare), Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and enterprise Wi-Fi, Cloud Services
• Strong technical and diagnostic skills across a range of common network, server, client workstation and software products.
• Evaluation, testing and review of new IT infrastructure and systems, policies and processes
• Assisting / supporting internal customers with IT support queries.

Skills Required:

• Degree or higher-level qualification
• Business or Engineering background / understanding is highly advantageous
• Interest in Manufacturing
• Strong IT and Excel skills, understand and interpret IT and business systems
• Excellent communication skills, educate and influence

The Role

• 8.30am – 4.30pm or 9am-5pm
• Monday- Friday
• Salary - depending on experience
• Pension
• On-site parking
