The Role:
- Reporting directly to the IT Director, you'll be the go-to expert for all things IT, tackling challenging issues across servers, networks, virtual environments, and business-critical systems.
- You'll also play a key role in mentoring a junior member of the team, sharing your expertise and helping shape the future of the IT department.
- From VMware and SQL Server to Office 365, SAP, and networking, you'll ensure everything works seamlessly, securely, and efficiently. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to lead projects, optimise infrastructure, and implement upgrades that make a real difference to the business.
What You'll Do:
- Solve complex IT issues across Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, SQL, and more
- Support business-critical systems including SAP, Office 365, and VoIP solutions
- Manage networking equipment (HP/Aruba) and Firewalls (WatchGuard)
- Maintain backups, security policies, and compliance via Veeam and Intune
- Support production tech, including Zebra printers and barcode scanners
- Lead or contribute to IT infrastructure projects and upgrades
- Mentor a junior team member and provide guidance to 1st/2nd line engineers
Who You Are:
- Experienced in 3rd line support or IT infrastructure
- Skilled in Windows Server, VMware, SQL, networking, and Office 365
- Familiar with SAP systems, backup solutions, and endpoint security
- Confident troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
- Excellent communicator with strong problem-solving and mentoring skills
Nice-to-Haves:
- IT certifications (Microsoft, VMware, WatchGuard, ITIL)
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
