Sales & Business Development Manager

About Our Client

I have partnered with an ambitious and fast growing clean tech business who due to growth are looking to add a Sales and Business Development Manager to the team. They work with leading partners and customers to enable low carbon energy adoption through practical , scalable and commercially viable technologies. The client is based in Oxfordshire and the position would require travel across the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, qualify and develop new sales opportunities across the UK and European markets.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities, progressing leads through structured sales stages to close.
  • Drive the full sales cycle from early-stage engagement to contract signature, including pricing, negotiation and commercial terms.
  • Develop strategic customer relationships with key stakeholders including infrastructure developers, project owners, EPCs, fleet operators, industrial end-users and public sector stakeholders.
  • Manage and develop the commercial collaboration relevant technology partners.
  • Ensure alignment on bid responsibilities, pricing, delivery scope, quality commitments and customer messaging.
  • Lead customer engagement from discovery through proposal and contracting, ensuring customer needs are clearly captured.
  • Work with engineering teams and technical specialists to develop compelling technical-commercial proposals.
  • Promote and sell service offerings and lifecycle support models alongside equipment sales, including LTSAs, maintenance plans and performance support packages.

About you
  • Demonstrable experience in B2B sales / business development in industrial equipment, energy infrastructure, mobility infrastructure or related technical sectors.
  • Proven track record of managing complex sales cycles and closing high-value deals.
  • Strong commercial capability including pricing, negotiation and contract management.
  • Ability to work across technical and commercial teams to shape customer solutions and credible proposals.
  • Comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial environment with autonomy and accountability.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the UK and EU.
