About the Role

As Founder's Associate at MatNex, you'll work side-by-side with our CEO and leadership team, gaining unparalleled exposure to the inner workings of a high-growth tech startup.
This is a unique opportunity to learn first-hand what it takes to build and scale a company from the ground up. You'll operate across all areas of the business, strategic and operational, right hand to leaders across the business and driving impact where it matters most.
Our exceptional team consists of 3 core functions, software, product and business – this is an exciting opportunity to sit at the intersection of all three of these functions.
What You'll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will be dynamic and varied, the is an ever-evolving role. Projects in the first 3 months will include:
- Product Ownership: Work closely with Product Managers and Software Team to run our scrum methodology.
- Business Analysis: Conduct market research on potential customers and analyse business metrics to inform decision-making.
- Cross-company Operations: Work closely with all teams to ensure smooth execution of initiatives, support company-wide reporting, process implementation and metric tracking.
- Strategic Execution: Support the leadership team on strategic items to execute against the business plan, aligning priorities across the organisation.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic generalist with a passion for startups and a desire to learn by doing. You don't need to be an expert in any one area—but you should be adaptable, resourceful, and eager to take on new challenges.
You will most likely:
- Possess an entrepreneurial mindset, constantly seeking opportunities for improvement.
- Demonstrate strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Have experience in or strong desire to learn product management skills.
- Be data-driven, with solid quantitative ability and working knowledge of Excel (or similar tools).
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
- Be comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Have 2-5 years' experience working in a product first or client centric environment.
