Senior Network Engineer

Our client, a leading entity in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in Christchurch and involves hybrid working arrangements, with 2-3 days per week on site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure
• Monitoring network performance and troubleshooting issues to ensure network efficiency and security
• Collaborating with other engineering teams to integrate network systems with defence and security projects
• Producing detailed network documentation and reports
• Ensuring compliance with security protocols and requirements
• Participating in network upgrades and expansions to support organisational growth
• Providing expert guidance and technical support to junior engineers and other team members

Job Requirements:

• Extensive experience in network engineering
• Strong understanding of network protocols, hardware, and software
• Proficiency in network design and implementation
• Experience with security protocols and firewall management
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
