With regular social events, structured learning pathways, and a supportive leadership team, they offer a working environment where people can thrive.The Opportunity This newly created role will report to the Head of People & Engagement and combines both HR business partnering and L&D leadership. It would suit someone with at least 3–4 years’ HR experience who is ready to step into a more senior role with autonomy, influence, and scope to make a real difference.You’ll work closely with managers and consultants across the business, shaping employee experience, enabling development, and supporting a culture where people are empowered to reach their full potential.The position is based in Edinburgh with hybrid working (2–3 days a week in the office) and occasional travel to other UK locations.Key Responsibilities
  • Build trusted relationships with managers, employees, and teams, delivering a high-quality HR business partnering service.
  • Provide generalist HR support across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Lead on employee relations and advise leaders on change, culture, engagement, and organisational development.
  • Act as the UK lead for Learning & Development — owning the annual L&D plan, designing initiatives, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Conduct learning needs analyses and translate insights into targeted development programmes.
  • Oversee learning frameworks and champion a culture of continuous development.
  • Support career progression processes, including promotions and early careers programmes.
  • Use people data and insights to support decision-making.
  • Proactively improve policies, processes, and the wider employee experience.
  • Adapt to changing business priorities and contribute to both strategic and operational HR objectives.
About You
  • Experienced HR professional with strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, and L&D.
  • Excellent working understanding of UK employment law.
  • Confident influencer with the ability to partner with leaders at all levels.
  • Strong communicator who builds credibility quickly.
  • Passionate about coaching, development, and supporting others to grow.
  • Proactive, flexible, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
  • Tech-savvy with an interest in data-driven HR.
  • CIPD qualification desirable but not essential.
