Recruitment Consultant
Job Title: Recruitment Consultant – Data & AI
Location: London or Remote
Level: Mid-level
Salary: £30,000 – £50,000 base + uncapped commission
The OpportunityWe’re hiring a Recruitment Consultant to specialise in Data, AI, and Machine Learning hiring.
This role exists because our clients need recruiters who genuinely understand technical roles — not just job titles, but the detail behind them. You’ll work with engineering-led businesses who value strong recruitment partnerships and expect recruiters to operate as consultants, not CV-senders.
If you’re currently recruiting technical roles and feel under-recognised, over-managed, or boxed into volume-driven processes, this role is designed to feel different.
What You’ll Be Responsible For- Managing end-to-end recruitment processes across Data, AI, ML, and Analytics roles
- Partnering closely with technically competent hiring managers to scope roles accurately
- Advising clients on market conditions, candidate availability, and hiring strategy
- Building long-term relationships with both clients and candidates
- Developing and growing your own specialist Data & AI desk
- Delivering high-quality hires rather than high-volume activity
Minimal admin. No KPI theatre. No “spray and pray” recruitment.
What Makes This Role Different- High-trust environment with real autonomy
- Quality-first approach: fewer roles, better briefs
- London or fully remote working
- Clear, transparent progression based on performance
- Adult, low-ego culture with no buzzwords or micromanagement
Your expertise is respected, and your results matter.
Who We’re Looking For- Mid-level experience as a Recruitment Consultant
- Non-negotiable: technical recruitment experience
- Exposure to Data, AI, ML, or Analytics recruitment
- Commercially aware and comfortable managing client relationships
- Motivated by becoming a specialist, not a generalist
This is not a trainee or entry-level role.
What’s On Offer- £30,000 – £50,000 base salary (DOE)
- Uncapped commission
- London or remote flexibility
- Clear desk ownership and progression
- Supportive leadership and realistic expectations
