IT Support Engineer - 1st / 2nd Line Support

IT Support Engineer – 1st Line / 2nd Line Support

£28,000 - £30,000 | Fully Remote (UK-based)

You're the person people call when tech goes wrong, and the one they thank when it's back up and running.

You’ve got the 1st and 2nd line support basics nailed, and now you’re looking for a fully remote role where you can support a wide range of users, get involved in the Microsoft 365 stack, and keep sharpening your skills.

This is your chance to join a well-established internal IT team, supporting both colleagues and external partners across the UK. You’ll be managing everything from new starter setups and user queries to device management and M365 admin, all while working from home.

What’s in it for you?

  • Salary: £28,000 - £30,000
  • Location: Fully remote (UK-based), ideally within reach of London, but flexible
  • Variety: 1st and 2nd line support across a broad and modern tech environment
  • Microsoft Stack: Get hands-on with Azure AD, SharePoint, Intune, OneDrive, Exchange, Teams, and more
  • Team Culture: Supportive, collaborative, and focused on doing IT properly, not cutting corners
  • Opportunity: Contribute to improvement projects and build out your M365 skillset over time

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting internal staff and external customers with 1st and 2nd line technical queries
  • Managing user onboarding/offboarding, device setup (Autopilot), and account permissions (Azure AD)
  • Troubleshooting across Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, hardware, and mobile devices
  • Administering and supporting M365 tools including SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Exchange Online
  • Using Intune to manage devices, pushing apps, enforcing security, and keeping things compliant
  • Logging and resolving tickets, escalating where needed, and keeping users in the loop
  • Contributing to internal documentation and identifying ways to improve service delivery

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Previous experience in a 1st or 2nd line support role (MSP experience a bonus)
  • Confident with Microsoft 365 and Azure AD user management
  • Awareness or hands-on experience with SharePoint, Intune, OneDrive, Teams, and Exchange
  • Solid troubleshooting skills across desktops, mobile devices, and basic networking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication — especially with non-technical users
  • A self-starter mindset, you take ownership and get things done

If you're looking for a role where you can support users, grow your skills, and work remotely without feeling like you're on an island, this could be the move.

Sound like your kind of thing?
