Description

The Accounts Payable Assistant duties will include:

  • Taking ownership of all accounts payable processes.
  • Managing the inbox responding to all supplier queries in a timely manner.
  • Main PoC for new suppliers setting them up, verifying details etc.
  • Prepare payment runs ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain and update accounts payable records.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support the month-end close process by providing accurate financial data.
  • Identify and implement improvements to accounts payable procedures.
  • Adhoc support on Accounts Receivable processes.

Profile

A successful Accounts Payable Assistant should have the following experience, skills and qualities:

  • Demonstrable experience within Accounts Payable and confident being autonomous on processes.
  • Familiarity with Xero accounting system will be advantageous
  • Wider experience within accounts assistant/ accounts receivable roles will be advantageous for adhoc coverage of other transactional processes.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive attitude with a commitment to maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
