Finance Manager - German Speaking

The successful candidate will be fluent in German, and have German Local GAAP Experience.

The Finance Manager will oversee and manage all financial operations within the organisation, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting strategic decision-making. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for the technology and telecoms sector.

Description

  • Ownership of the monthly, quarterly, and annual closes for the Country operations
  • Review and preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Country point of contact for the payroll team for any queries.
  • Finance representative for accounting and tax queries from stakeholders
  • Lead and prepare the local GAAP annual financial statements.
  • Manage the local audit compliance process for the financial statements
  • Liase with local tax advisors and Group tax for corporate tax returns.
  • Ensure timely and accurate compliance with local regulatory and governmental organisations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Group external auditors.
  • Ensure the internal control environment are operating effectively in region.

Profile

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA,CIMA) with post qualification experience
  • German Speaking
  • Good IFRS and technical accounting knowledge
  • Experience in working with companies operating in multiple foreign currency environment.
  • A background in working with people and teams across multiple jurisdictions
  • A clear, concise and confident communicator with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • A history of managing internal and external audit relationships and projects
  • Experience in producing statutory accounts under IFRS and local GAAP.
  • Experience working alongside a Shared Services Centre team
  • SAP, Power BI and Hyperion use would be an advantage.
