IT Support and System Administrator£17-£19phLondonTemporary THE COMPANY: A prominent organisation dedicated to research into economic policy, leveraging extensive datasets and computer modelling to drive impactful insights. The company prides itself on maintaining a robust IT infrastructure to support its mission and ensure the seamless operation of its busy London office.THE ROLE: The IT Support and System Administrator will play a pivotal role in maintaining and supporting approximately 180 desktops and servers. Responsibilities include:

• Installing new machines and software
• Troubleshooting issues for highly IT-literate users
• Performing day-to-day server maintenance.

The role also involves project work such as implementing Remote Desktop Services, evaluating and implementing MFA and SSO solutions, and migrating email and calendaring solutions to the Cloud.THE PERSON: 

• At least two years of experience in IT support or a similar role
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Good problem solver - Proactive in seeking ways to enhance IT services
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant subject 
• Knowledge of recent workstation and server Windows operating systems 
• Understanding of data security and protection 
• Highly desirable: Experience with Windows 10 desktops, Windows Server 2019, Hyper-V Server, and Debian Linux
