Role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Analyst to provide day-to-day engineering support for the IT Client Server infrastructure. This includes monitoring, technical administration, implementation, and configuration of Servers, virtual desktops, and related systems. The role will focus on ensuring system reliability, efficiency, and security, as well as supporting automation and engineering analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the Branch's PC LAN Client Server infrastructure, including Horizon VDI, VMware, Windows, Linux Servers, and storage systems.

• Administer Active Directory (AD), Group Policy Objects (GPO), and user access.

• Oversee Linux server and Docker administration.

• Perform daily monitoring of system performance and error logs.

• Manage server processes, replication, and agent deployment.

• Install and configure software, updates, and patches via SCCM and PowerShell.

• Maintain asset inventory for client and server systems.

• Manage backups via Veeam and tape libraries, ensuring operational readiness at the disaster recovery site.

• Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation and standard operating procedures.

• Provide second- and third-line technical support for hardware and software issues, liaising with third-party vendors where necessary.

• Lead and support IT infrastructure projects from planning to deployment.

• Undertake other duties as required by management.

Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

• 5-7 years' experience in a structured commercial IT environment.

• Proven experience administering Windows Server and VDI environments.

• Technical expertise with:

  • Microsoft Server , Windows 11, MS Office 2024 & M365 Apps

  • MUST have strong SCCM & VDI experience is essential ideally Horizon VDI

  • Linux Ubuntu, VMware, Veeam, Omnissa VDI

  • PowerShell, Recent SCCM experience, Intune

  • Trellix Encryption & Antivirus

  • Cloud technologies (Azure preferred)

  • Horizon VDI
  • SCCM

Desirable:

• Experience in the financial services sector.

• Microsoft Server Administration training or certification.
